Description:
Monoprinting can be a challenging but exciting medium in which to explore colour and mark-making. Working from photographs on the theme of Cornish heathlands, this one-day workshop will introduce the beginner to simple monoprinting techniques and allow the more advanced student to build a portfolio of quick impressions and images to inspire further creative work.

at Geevor Tin Mine on the B3306 St Just to St Ives road. Coming from St Just the mine is signposted on the left between Botallack and Pendeen.

The Past in the Present on Goonhilly Downs

Description:
A walk exploring the archaeology and history of one of Cornwall’s most intriguing areas of rough ground looking at the issues around preserving this unique part of our environment. We will look at a variety of archaeological and historic features, from Bronze Age barrows to the remains of a World War II radar station, as well as discussing how we find out about past environments, landscapes and people.

Meet:
at the National Nature Reserve car park at Goonhilly Downs (SW 729 211). Access is from the B3293 Helston to Coverack road. The car park is on the right just after the Earth Station visitor centre.
Bring:
stout footwear and bring waterproofs. The walking is over rough ground and the route will cover approximately 4–5 miles.
